Sharp Hearts and Spare Parts

Performance in collaboration with Louise McKissick at the Titanik gallery, Turku. 1998. (Pictures: Tytti Heikkinen)

I and McKissick fastened small red paper hearts on the clothes of the audience. On the hearts we had written messages, which intention was to make people happy, for example “You have a wonderful nose” or “ I love your shoes”.

At the same time people could steer the remote controlled sperms, moving on the floor. The performance ended when McKissick pricked a big plastic heart fastened on my breast, filled with tomatoe juice.
